Production Supervisor

Tasks and ActivitiesDevelop and implement a production control management system to control processes and deliver resources for the successful on-time delivery of manufactured products.Master Scheduler to develop and implement detailed, constraint-based, production schedules to meet promised deliveries.Monitor and maintain optimal levels of raw materials (including steel), fabrication materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to support production needs.Implement and oversee an effective inventory and production control system.Provide technical guidance in the use and optimization of the Epicor ERP system.Effectively manage the procurement team to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.Continuously identify areas for improvement in production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality personnel regarding material status and production planning issues.Assist in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, improvement programs, and both individual and department objectives.Prepare regular reports on production objectives, performance, and compliance for management review.Achieve optimum employee levels with appropriate amounts of overhead and expenditures to meet an annual budgetary plan.Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, supply chain management, or related field preferred but not required.A minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, and control in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment desired.Proficient use of ERP and MRP systems. (Epicor experience preferred).Experienced with MS Office, particularly skilled in utilizing MS Excel at an advanced level.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities.
