***This role starts as a 6 month contract and could extend or convert FTE after******This role is fully onsite in Chelsea, MA***ResponsibilitiesAbility to assist in daily Amazon EDV business operations often requested on ad hoc basis, including shuttling vehicles back and forth from delivery stationsConduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles, using a documented process, checklist, and guidelinesDocument results (pass/fail)of pre-delivery inspections and communicate results to team members/supervisorFollow Rivian repair procedures with efficiency without compromising quality and safety Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles Assist and support vehicle repairs in a setting outside of a service center Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of the repair Perform necessary parts operations such as parts ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory Stay up to date with technical skills and required training Support campaigns and containment initiatives Maintain and process accurate expense reporting as needed Establish peer relationships and work under the mentorship of a senior technician Maintain high quality work and efficiency while working with little supervision Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing, dynamic environment Provide service support to the field to support the Service organization Ability to perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism, in a customer facing environment Qualifications MVR RequiredLevel 1 Technician: Less than 2 years of experience in a directly related trade (tire shop for example, motorcycle repair shop, but not cashier); no automotive specific training requiredLevel 2 Technician: 2-4 years of experience in an automotive specific environment with exposure to various repairs (usually an independent shop, or dealership -not only oil changes, or tires); automotive training preferredLevel 3 Technician: 5+ years of automotive experience, EV experience preferredHS Diploma or GED preferred Graduated from an accredited automotive repair school preferred One year experience working in an automotive repair shop preferred Proficient in using hand tools and power tools Ability to drive non-commercial truck and trailer preferred Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need. Shifts may include evening, overnight, or early morning hours Must possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record Experience using a work order management system including repair documentation Experience working in start-up environments preferred Exhibits patience and eagerness to learn Strong organizational and time management skills along with attention to detail Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.) Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need. Shifts may include evening, overnight, or early morning hours Minimum age of 21No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5year period)Ability to read and speak fluent EnglishAbility to properly document repairs completed and in process
