RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries, is seeking a Hub Operations Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the operations that support Gulf Coast Site Coordination activities and will lead a team of Site Coordinators, Storage Coordinators, and Supervisors, ensuring seamless logistics operations and fostering proactive relationships with key stakeholders. This role will also ensure the safe, efficient, compliant operation of rail transportation within the organization.What You’ll Do: Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key client stakeholdersProvides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectationsForecast and track key client metricsTake ownership of client issues and follow problems through to resolutionPrioritize and organize work, along with strong follow-up, analytical, problem solving and sound decision-making skills that support individual and team goalsEffectively and professionally communicate in both verbal and written forms with clients, employees, peers and managementProvide leadership to Logistics Coordinators to best service accounts and additionally, share learning opportunities to help them excel through encouragement and empowermentCreate and develop professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, clients, supervisors) Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, clients, supervisors)Communicate daily goal(s) in applicable work areasDevise, communicate and implement plans to obtain operational goals; work with and motivate employees to ensure achievement; provide progress or constraint updates to management and implement corrective measures as neededProvide leadership for employees through in-depth training and continuous review of employee understanding of policies, procedures and processes; create a productive work environment through effective communication, coaching, motivating and leading by exampleIdentify and/or solve operational issues with all account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and efficiencies, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and resultsOnboarding of new hires, train and supervise Logistics Coordinators and other employees as assignedDevelop and enhance service procedures, polices, and standardsSupport and aid in the development of system and process training for employees in applicable areasPerform administrative functions to include tracking time on client and performance feedbackAssign employees to individual tasks and ensure required tools are availableWorks closely with the project team to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project in addition to successful delivery of solutionsEnsure that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitableWhat You’ll Need:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, transportation, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years’ experience in leadership role in rail operations or logistics management (5+ years preferred)Strong knowledge of rail industry regulations and safety standardsProven track record of developing and implementing strategic initiativesExcellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsProficient in the use of logistics software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
