Overview The Senior HR Project Manager leads strategic HR initiatives that enhance operations, streamline processes, and improve the overall employee experience. This role partners with HR functions, organizational leaders, and external vendors to implement impactful solutions while ensuring alignment with the company's goals. The ideal candidate brings proven project management expertise, strong communication skills, and deep familiarity with HRIS platforms, especially Paycom, to drive success in HR and payroll optimization. This is a full time, exempt, benefit eligible position in Berkeley, CA. LifeLong Medical Care is a multi-site, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a rich history of providing innovative healthcare and social services to a wonderfully diverse patient community. Benefits Compensation: $110,000 - 140,000/year. Responsibilities Strategic HR Project Management * Lead large-scale HR initiatives such as system enhancements, compliance audits, and employee engagement projects. * Develop and manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure goals are met on time and within scope. * Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Payroll and Benefits Optimization * Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to enhance processes and ensure compliance. * Manage payroll system updates, audits, and Open Enrollment processes, leveraging tools like Paycom for efficiency. * Create documentation for streamlined payroll and benefits workflows. Stakeholder Collaboration * Serve as the primary point of contact for HR project stakeholders. * Maintain relationships with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution. * Provide clear and consistent updates to all stakeholders. Process Improvement * Identify opportunities to streamline HR and payroll workflows through automation and best practices. * Optimize HRIS platforms to meet evolving business needs, with a focus on Paycom and . * Document and implement efficient operating procedures. Change Management * Develop strategies to support the adoption of new processes and systems. * Design training materials, user guides, and communication plans to ensure smooth transitions. * Deliver training sessions for HR and payroll teams on new tools and processes. Data and Compliance Oversight * Monitor project KPIs and evaluate success through detailed reporting and post-implementation reviews. * Ensure all initiatives comply with federal, state, and local regulations. * Conduct audits to maintain operational integrity and reduce risks. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). * 5-7 years of experience in HR project management or related roles, with a proven record of leading complex HR initiatives. * Expertise in HRIS platforms, with extensive Paycom experience preferred. * Proficiency in project management tools, including and Gantt charts. * Strong skills in process improvement, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Skills * Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM). * Experience in nonprofit or healthcare sectors. * In-depth knowledge of HR compliance and payroll operations.
