We are actively seeking a Customer Service Specialist on behalf of our client in the New York City Metro area. Deliver exceptional customer service to health insurance clients across phone, email, chat, and other channels. This role involves addressing client inquiries, resolving coverage or billing issues, and providing accurate information on policies and claims, all while ensuring prompt and professional support. This is a full-time hybrid role based out of the NYC Metro region.Responsibilities:Respond to customer questions about health insurance plans, benefits, coverage, and claims through phone, email, or chat.Guide customers through enrollment and renewal processes, making sure they understand eligibility and plan options during open enrollment.Clearly explain policy details, like premiums, deductibles, co-pays, and network providers, to help customers understand their options.Help customers file claims, track their status, and resolve any issues or denials along the way.Handle complaints and concerns with care, working to fix billing problems, coverage disputes, or other service issues.Keep customer records accurate and up to date, including personal and policy information.Work closely with internal teams, like billing and claims, to quickly address customer needs and find solutions.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required).Previous experience in customer service with heavy telephone presence.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex insurance information to customers.Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve customer concerns and disputes effectively.Proficiency with computer systems, including CRM software or applications.Attention to detail for accurately updating customer accounts and processing claims.Empathy and active listening skills to provide a positive and supportive customer experience.Benefits:If hired directly, access the benefits offered by the hiring employer.If hired as a temporary W-2 employee through GloballyHired, benefit from a comprehensive healthcare package, including Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) and Most Valuable Plan (MVP) health plans.
