OBJECTIVE/MISSION: Manage the quality, safety, productivity and profitability of all phases of the construction process for all assigned projects, interfacing with all parties to ensure the highest standards are achieved. . DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all Production Division staff (Superintendents, subcontractors, production technicians, sheet metal technicians, etc) on assigned projects to insure efficiency and overall functionality. Order all materials, forklifts, cranes, tools, equipment, dumpsters and portable toilets for all assigned projects. Obtain multiple vendor quotes to insure competitive pricing. Issue and track PO numbers for purchases on all assigned projects. Request sheet metal fabrication from Metal Shop Manager to insure timely fabrication. Achieve project budget objectives for all assigned projects. Negotiate and draft all subcontractor agreements on all assigned projects. Place a copy of all project information in the specific M Drive project folder. Send Production Manager weekly amounts to bill clients on all assigned projects. Review all subcontractor performance and support their efforts as required. Review and ensure work has been completed in accordance with subcontractors' billing requests. Send subcontractor billing request approvals and denials to Production Manager. Attend hand-off meetings with Account Executive and Estimator for all assigned projects. Never start a project unless this meeting has been conducted. All hand off meetings will be conducted on or before Friday for projects sold the preceding Friday thru Thursday. Communicate a tentative start date for each project to the client via e-mail (copy Account Executive, Production Manager, and VP of Operations) and phone call no later than 5 pm on Wednesday after hand-off meeting has occurred the previous week. Generate description of additional scope of work, price and draft change orders (on assigned projects) when the scope of work deviates from the contract. Administer the change order process including obtaining written approval from client before proceeding with the work, filing / saving paperwork and digital files, and proper communication to all parties involved including client, Superintendent, Account Executive, metal shop / warehouse, and accounting. Work with the Safety Director and Superintendents to insure safe, OSHA compliant job sites on all assigned projects. Work with Superintendent to monitor daily weather conditions and cancel work as needed to prevent water damage to interior of building. Communicate this rain day cancellation to the client, Production Manager and VP of Operations. Monitor and collect all job clock information and time sheets from Superintendents on assigned projects. Limit overtime hours whenever possible. Verify adherence to Lunch Break Policy for Hourly Employees and deduct hours if needed. Provide daily job assignments to Superintendents on assigned projects. Train and mentor Superintendents and other team members as needed. Understand product specifications, project scope of work and proper installation procedures on all assigned projects. Verify your Superintendents on all assigned projects enter all required project information into WhitCommand (FCS) each day. Complete and send OPM reports to client, Superintendent, Account Executive, Production Manager, VP of Operations, and President / CEO on all assigned projects each day. Work with Account Executive to insure all client representatives who need to receive OPM reports are receiving them. Obtain and track required permits for all assigned projects. Coordinate required municipal / city inspections for all assigned projects. Coordinate and process all manufacturers' inspections and warranty documents for assigned projects. Prepare submittal packages and submit to client for approval as needed for all assigned projects. Inform the Production Manager, Account Executive, and Accounting Division via email when a project is done. "Done" is defined as when the client is satisfied and ready to accept the final invoice and make payment. Maintain positive attitude and appropriate attire. Clean Whitco Roofing collared polo or dress shirt, and slacks (no jeans). Personally attend and verify your Superintendents attend required training sessions and safety meetings. Read Whitco Roofing Employment Manual and adhere to all its policies and procedures. Adhere to Whitco Roofing standard operating procedures. Complete other duties as assigned. KEY RESULTS Provide the required leadership, organization and administrative support to complete assigned projects on time, under budget, per specifications and per industry standards.
