Shipping & Receiving Clerk

ARC Technologies LLC, a Hexcel company, is the leading manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) absorbing materials for defense and wireless applications worldwide and part of Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composites technology. Hexcel is currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for our Amesbury, MA, USA location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: * Execute the shipping/receiving of products inclusive of material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinating * Manage shipping/receiving activities through proper coordination with operations, sales/marketing, and quality * Ship Hazardous Materials in compliance with DOT, IATA & IMDG regulations * Review Shipping Tables to ensure that all requirements are met * Make shipping arrangements, contacting Freight Forwarders, carriers, etc. to schedule pick-ups and transportation * Executing and shipping manufactured products at the Amesbury location, including material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinating Qualifications: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required * 1+ years related experience and/or training * Basic computer skills to include the functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable programs * Understanding of an MRP system; Microsoft AX exposure is preferred * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees * Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak to and coordinate distinctly with different work groups * Experience with UPS and FedEx Ship applications preferred * Demonstrate self-motivation with excellent interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and good organization skills. * Must have the ability to be trained and certified to ship hazardous materials, both domestically and internationally * Ability to deal with problems and come to a viable solution, including knowing when and how to escalate issues as necessary.
