Ready to join a Team of Skilled Professionals at Associated Grocers? We are currently looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join us! The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating the loading of merchandise to ensure orders are complete, accurate and loaded per the loading documents (TLW). This position will also assist the shipping department in all different aspects, such as in the HBC/GM area and in the selection and receiving process along with Distribution Supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Perform Lead functions in absence of the Lead. * Perform Label Control Clerk functions * Actively engage in special projects when necessary. * Provide feedback and solutions for reoccurring issues. * Ensure the inbound food safety standard operating procedures are adhered to for compliance. * Oversee the work of loaders. * Review the sequence of loading of orders corresponding to the location of stops. * Review Trailer Loading Worksheet and other related paperwork for accuracy and completeness. * Perform quality control on selected pallets. * Follow up on special instructions to ensure they are complete and accurate. * Assist member stores with will calls. * Inspect all inbound freight from carriers, such as UPS and FedEx, for proper quantity. * Perform Label Control Clerk functions as needed. * Execute observations as instructed. * Comply with all safety and sanitation rules, regulations, and guidelines; make on the spot correction of unsafe acts and maintain an inspection ready distribution center. Responsible for following all food safety procedures established by the site. * Delegate, coach and train employees on performing job functions efficiently. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
