Description This is an exciting opportunity for an individual that excels in project management and enjoys client interaction. This position requires strong product knowledge of our custom project offerings, events business, excellent working relationships with clients, vendors and internal sales groups to facilitate successful program delivery. The ideal candidate has the ability to concisely speak with clients in a professional manner and establish clear production timelines, milestones and deliverables while managing internal teams (Art Department, Email operations, etc.) to ensure the deliverables are on track to meet timelines. This position reports to the Director of Events and Custom Marketing and works collaboratively with Sales, Editorial, Digital, Marketing and Creative, Custom Content departments. Projects will consist of helping to execute in-person conferences and client sponsored custom projects: webinars, multi-day virtual events, topic takeovers, custom channels, eCase studies and surveys. Responsibilities: * Establishing and creating productions schedules, milestones and deadlines with clearly defined deliverables. * Project management, including the ability to manage multiple projects with varying due dates simultaneously, identify dependencies, and coordinate across other channels, in accordance with established milestones * Setting up internal and external kickoff calls to review project requirements and deadlines. * Educate clients on conferences, custom products and services, and provide consultative services on program execution. * Working with our art designer to create banner ad artwork. * Working with our ad server to traffic banner ad placements. * Ensure clients, speakers and partners submit deliverables in a timely manner and come up with action plans for those who fall behind. * Creating marketing materials for webinars/virtual events/ conferences, sharing with clients and making promotional materials live on the GenomeWeb site. * Execute webinar and virtual event rehearsals to ensure clients/speakers are ready for the live webinar and/or pre-recorded event. * Ability to accommodate client meetings outside of our standard 9-5 business hours. This is not often, but we do have clients globally. * Travel for in-person conferences is required. Required Skills and Experience: * 3+ years of experience in virtual events and event planning and execution. * Bachelors degree required; marketing or events related field preferred. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. * Ability to multitask. * Extremely organized. * Attention to detail. * Proficiency in Excel. * Solutions oriented. * Email marketing experience is a plus. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Experience working on client facing projects. * Background in event operations, event registration, ticketing and guest management, event sponsorships and/or event agenda management and programming * Experience using any webinar and events platform (WebEx, gotomeet, On24, cvent, globalmeet). On24, globalmeet and cvent platform experience is a plus. * Sailthru (not required but a plus) This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The estimated base salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap.
