Known for our carefully curated selection of natural wines, expertly crafted cocktails, and delectable pintxos, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a warm and lively atmosphere. We're seeking an Assistant Sommelier/Floor Manager  to join our passionate team and contribute to our dynamic wine program. Position Overview: As Assistant Sommelier/Floor Manager, you will work closely with the Wine Director to curate and manage an exceptional wine list that complements our Basque-inspired menu. You'll engage with guests, sharing your knowledge and passion for wine while ensuring a memorable dining experience. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the selection, purchasing, and inventory management of wines, focusing on natural and Basque regional varieties. Support the Wine Director in maintaining and evolving the wine program to align with the restaurant's concept and goals. Train and educate front-of-house staff on wine pairings, tasting notes, and service techniques. Preserve all front of house policies, duties, steps of service, and assist in managing the floor. Provide impeccable wine service during service hours, offering pairing recommendations and answering guest inquiries. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to create thoughtful pairings and enhance the overall dining experience. Help manage and maintain proper wine storage and organization. Stay current on industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the program. Qualifications: Previous experience as a sommelier or wine steward in a fine dining or upscale casual setting. A strong passion for wine, with a particular interest in natural wines and Basque-style selections. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for educating both guests and team members.
