SHIPPING ASSOCIATE We are a growing company, currently seeking hard-working, dependable individuals to join Grimco. Grimco is a national wholesale sign supply manufacturer and distributor that has been around for over 145 years with 50+ locations in the United States, 8 in Canada, and recent expansion into the United Kingdom. Warehouse Associates are critical members of our team, ensuring our warehouse procedures are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and safely. JOB SUMMARY: * Immediate opening * Full-Time Employment Status KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: * Quality Control and awareness; watch what is being produced and be sure no contaminants and/or visible defects are being packed for shipment. * Record accurate quantities/information on the production documents and ensure those items are then appropriately packaged for shipping. * Load and unload delivery trucks by hand and by forklift. * Stock inventory when replenishment shipments arrive. * Gather, Organize, and maintain a neat and clean work area. This includes constant cleaning of the work area and staging of paperwork and packaging items (i.e., pallets, cores, labels, etc.) * Prepare work area and any necessary items for subsequent shifts. * Motivate by example - partner with employees to perform daily activities, and continuously improve performance. Teamwork is key! PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * 1-10 years of recent warehouse experience. * Be willing to complete a criminal background check. * Strong work ethic - dedicated to getting the job done. * Forklift Certification * Interest in growing with Grimco - potential overtime hours, and supervisory duties in the future. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Requires the ability to lift, twist, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis. * Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily. * Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products. * Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift).
