The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, responsible for defining and integrating ESG principles into the organization's operations and culture. This role involves developing and implementing the company's ESG strategy, creating and enforcing related policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. The VP of ESG will also be tasked with stakeholder engagement, overseeing ESG reporting and disclosure, and managing ESG-related risks and opportunities. Cross-functional collaboration, performance monitoring, and fostering a culture of sustainability and ethical behavior are key aspects of the position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years' working experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, and a proven track record in ESG, risk management, and related fields. In-depth knowledge of ESG principles, regulations, and reporting frameworks is essential, as is experience in a global fashion/apparel business or other consumer products company, particularly with a focus on Asia manufacturing. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with advanced degrees being a plus. The role demands strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead a team and engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
