The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing operational risk and control responsibilities, as well as driving operational resilience, including business continuity and crisis management. This role involves supporting the Services Exco and working with various global business and control heads to establish and monitor a robust framework for operational risk and control management. The Managing Director will also be expected to proactively assess and provide objective views on risks, controls, and trends, and to lead efforts to remediate the root causes of operational risk events. Applicants must have broad experience in risk management, with a proven track record in managing large, complex enterprise-wide risk management programs, particularly within the banking or financial services industry. The role requires a strong analytical and strategic thinker, with a pragmatic and execution-focused approach. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on operator and enabler, capable of partnering with business lines to deliver effective risk management and control solutions. Key qualifications include at least 15 years of domain experience in operational risk management, a Master's degree or specialized training in related fields, and a strong understanding of key risk and control concepts, tools, and trends. The Managing Director will also be expected to have strong leadership skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to constructively challenge and drive change.
