The successful candidate will be part of the First Line of Defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management, working closely with the Commercial Bank and Independent Risk teams. This role is pivotal in the end-to-end lending process, with a focus on serving Asset Management Company clients, including those managing traditional real money funds, hedge funds, and private equity funds. The Credit Officer will be responsible for credit underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring, ensuring best-in-class risk and controls, and client responsiveness. Key responsibilities include facilitating a wide range of financial solutions, from working capital to M&A financing, and providing sector-specific insights for both internal and external stakeholders. Applicants for the Credit Officer position should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in credit underwriting, portfolio, or risk management within a large multinational financial services organization, with a strong background in the Funds industry. The role requires a deep understanding of various credit products, investment portfolio risk, and the ability to make well-informed credit decisions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong credit sense, and the ability to work across a range of credit products. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA, CFA, or formal credit training. The role also involves mentoring and developing junior staff and may include leading strategic projects and providing technical skills training across the organization.
