We are seeking a Word Processor (night shift) to join a growing national firm in their downtown Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently transcribing, formatting, and editing legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm guidelines. This position requires a strong attention to detail, familiarity with legal terminology, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:Accurately transcribe, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reportsEnsure that all documents adhere to firm-specific templates, formatting standards, and legal requirementsConvert scanned documents into editable formatsManage document revisions and track changes as necessaryCommunicate effectively with attorneys and support staff to ensure timely document deliveryMaintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive legal informationProvide support with document preparation and other administrative tasks as neededQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or certification in legal studies is a plus)Proven experience working as a word processor, legal assistant, or similar role (experience in a law firm is preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe AcrobatStrong typing and editing skills with attention to detailKnowledge of legal terminology, document formatting, and citation stylesAbility to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team membersAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalismMust be able to work the night shift (hours from 4:30pm – 12am)Compensation:$80k - $90k annually depending on relevant experience.
