Production Supervisor Essential Functions/Duties: * It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to coordinate the People and Processes tied to the production floor to ensure that safety, quality, and delivery are met for our Just-In-Time / Just-in-Sequence production Environment. * Manage daily production requirements to ensure on-time, in-sequence delivery to our Customer(s). * Ongoing communication with Team Members, Safety Quality, Production, Team Building, etc. * Problem-solving and troubleshooting production-related issues and root cause analysis. * Ensure that employees work safely - wearing prescribed PPE. Taking every precaution reasonable, providing awareness of risks. * Ensure conformance to company and legislative policies and procedures. * Management of Time and Attendance systems. * Conduct disciplinary investigations and review, focusing on corrective actions. * Administration of the Collective Agreement and Grievance procedure under the direction of the Human Resources Manager. * Interface with the Logistics department to ensure 100% material accuracy. * Interface with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure PM programs and safety matters are addressed. * Perform LPA's and resolution of issues. * Maintain low scrap and rework focussing on root cause elimination. * Follow the division's KPIs and implement strategies to achieve divisional goals and objectives. * Environmental Management * Can stop production, upon notifying the plant manager of Safety Related matters requiring immediate attention * Take every precaution reasonable to protect the Health and Safety of the workers. * Perform Kaizens & investigations for every line defect. * Ensuring compliance to and participation in IATF 16949 and CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) compliance & ISO 14001 certification * Can stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor and Plant Manager for quality-related nonconforming matters requiring immediate repair * Supporting the launch of ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 * Other Duties as assigned Required Experience/Skills: * Tier 1 knowledge an asset * 3+ years in a Supervisory role * Previous experience with DCX * Strong Computer Skills * Knowledge of PLCs * Knowledge of Shop Floor Systems * Good organizational skills * Strong communication-verbal and written * Good problem-solving skills - 8D etc * SAP knowledge an asset * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment * PLC functionality an asset * IATF16949/CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) ISO 14001 * Experience in a union environment * Understanding of Legislation tied to work refusal, OHSA, etc * Previous experience with Time and Attendance systems * Familiarity with Material Flow (FIFO) As a responsible company, OPmobility pays particular attention to diversity and equality within its teams and the Group commits to treat all job applications equally.
