We are actively hiring technicians at all levels of experience. Delivery and Installation Technicians are responsible for the delivery and installation of all Don's Appliances products within the designated delivery area.Assigned level within the Delivery and Installation job family will be determined based on the successful candidate's level of education, experience, and licensure. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Delivery and Installation Technician Level 1 (DIT1) - ApprenticeObserve the process of installing appliancesAbility to handle appliances safely using dolliesFollow company procedures and protocolsAbility to read and understand truck routesUnderstanding the package AI SoftwareBecome familiar with proper installation techniquesEnsure customer expectations are always metUnderstanding of the use of tools required for the installation of appliancesExecuting safe work habitsPerforms other related duties as assigned Delivery Installation Technician Level 2 (DIT2) Completed all requirements as an apprentice (DIT1)Ability to package AI tablet trainingAbility to read route sheetsSuccessfully prepare job sitesConduct walkthroughs with the customer at a job sitePerform installations according to company policies and proceduresProperly clean up and tear down the job site once complete with the installationSafely operate the liftgates on the vehiclesOrganize and ensure cleanliness of the vehiclesMaintain the inventory for the assigned vehicleEnsure all customer expectations are metAbility to contact customer using package AIEnsuring uniform policy is followedEnsuring required tools are available for the installationKnowledge of tools required for installationsProficient with gas lines, water lines, and checking for leaks in these linesAbility to communicate with your chain of command as to the status of each jobPerforms other related duties as assigned Delivery Installation Technician Level 3 (DIT3) - Installation LeadShown proficiency in all of the skills outlined in DIT1 and DIT2Completed Medical Department of Transportation physicalSafe Driver Training Program completedFull operation and understanding of tablet and package AIProficiency with job site requirementsResponsible for vehicle maintenance management and reporting issues to Fleet ManagerFully understand customer service expectationsProficient with the following installations: Over the counter microwaves, dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges, laundryUniform expectations followed at all timesProficient with all tools necessary to complete installationsProficiency with gas lines, water lines, and testing for leaks. Able to supervise DIT1 and DIT2 with proper instruction of these lines.Leading DIT1 and DIT2 through proper job site executionAbility to communicate with the chain of command on the status of each jobTrained on how to report a work injuryPerforms other related duties as assigned Delivery Installation Technician Level 4 (DIT4) - Installation Specialist and TrainerLevel 4 technicians are expected to work at a "Specialist" LevelExpert knowledge of installation of all brands and types of appliancesTrain team of technicians to work efficiently with their teams and satisfy customer needsMain contact point for any technician questionsIdentify issues at job sites and resolve them quicklyAbility to work and lead a team of technicians through any job site regardless of the situationUse technology as needed to enable job site preparation and executionEnsure delivery and installation technicians adhere to processes that meet client needs and expectationsDevelop and maintain excellent customer relationships with delivery and installation technicians within the Don's Appliances networkPerforms other related duties as assigned Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo Experience and Education by Level: Requirements for all jobs within the Delivery and Installation Job Family:All applicants must have a high school degree from an accredited school or GED.Technical degree in relevant field or relevant training preferred.All applicants must have a valid driver's license.The incumbent must be able to accept alternative shifts assignments on short notice, work scheduled and nonscheduled overtime and participate in a weekend work rotation.Organized with the ability to complete multiple installation jobs in a timely manner daily while providing high levels of customer service.Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication and superior customer service skills.
