Job Description: McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Mechanical Piping Field Superintendent for our exciting Industrial Manufacturing project in Jefferson, Wisconsin! The current project for consideration is in Jefferson, WI. Candidates will be eligible for traveling benefits per company policy. Position Summary: As an Industrial Superintendent, you will oversee the construction of Manufacturing Plants, Chemical, Power, and related projects in the field, provide leadership to field foremen, subcontractor management, and ensure successful and timely completion of trade work. The Superintendent is also responsible for managing site conditions and ensuring compliance with McCarthy's safety and quality standards. The Superintendent should be an exceptional communicator, negotiator and arbitrator working closely with all job-site personnel to ensure timely and quality completion of the construction process. Key Responsibilities: * Provide a safe work environment for all trade partners. * OSHA 30 certification. * Assist Project Manager in development of Chart of Accounts. * Assist in the development of a detailed project Schedule. * Client satisfaction; Maintain positive and professional relationships with all clients. * Work within the perimeters of trade specific project budget. * Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents. * Ensure quality craftsmanship on trade specific system installations. * Plan specific trade installation approach and procedures. * Schedule daily and weekly trade activities. * Document daily construction activities. * Ensure accurate and complete cost coding of timecards daily. * Oversee trade related material, tool, and equipment requisitions. * Understand and implement lockout/tag-out procedures for safe and secure task(s). * Monitor progress, performance, and quality of work for Subcontractors and vendors. * Chair weekly subcontractor coordination meetings. * Provide leadership in quality process. * Coordinate required jurisdictional inspections and maintain good working relationships with QA/QC & inspectors. * Develop a project site logistics plan. * Manage McCarthy's labor force to achieve optimum performance. * Review and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase orders. * Review, analyze, and update Labor Hours/Job Costs Report information with project management on weekly basis. * Contributes to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques, and procedures. * Review and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental rates. * Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues, conflict resolutions and making recommendations. * Issued iPad, expanding knowledge with software & technology. * Assist Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal process. * Verify that As-Built drawings & Specifications are kept current. Qualifications: * 10+ Years of building experience on Industrial, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage and/or related projects * Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Project Management Software (i.e. Procore), Scheduling software (i.e. Primavera P6), and Job Costs/Productivity management * Ability to sketch isometrics and P&ID's * Previous Superintendent experience directing and coordinating trades on lump sum projects $10mil+ in size * Knowledge of construction principles/practices required * Previous experience working with Project Management team for successful completion of project * Self-perform piping background required * Active CWI license preferred McCarthy Building Companies is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religious beliefs, marital status, genetic information, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
