The Lansing Board of Water & Light has an opening for a Supervisor, Asset Management, located in Lansing, MI.Job Type: Full-TimeStarting Salary Range: $101,876 - $125,358Position Summary:This position will report to the Manager of Asset Management (AM). Responsible for overseeing, directing, coordinating, and organizing the tactical functions and activities of the AM System implementation related to Quality Assurance (QA) Administrators, Management of Change (MOC) Specialist, and Reliability Engineers to accomplish BWL and Department goals and objectives, including, but not limited to ISO Certification, Reliability Engineering activities, MOC, and root cause analysis/corrective actions. This role also supports document management and control development/sustainment, Quality Assurance Program, and internal auditing for ISO 55000Essential Functions: Interprets, implements, and coordinates major goals, programs and activities related to department goals. Oversees, organizes, and coordinates the activities within assigned areas to ensure team assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Oversees the stakeholder, root cause analysis, reliability, risk, quality assurance, management of change, and information requirements processes pertaining to Operation's assets. Work with internal departments/stakeholders to integrate appropriate processes into Asset Management and ISO 55000 goals. Assists in the establishment and review of department procedures. Assist in the development and deployment of ADKAR principals for AM objectives. Reports and advises management on team or process issues, needs, and plans. Confer and coordinate regularly with AM Manager and/or other staff to evaluate AM processes/activities and make recommendations for improvements. Leads cross-functional project teams as assigned by Management. Participates in the development and monitoring of the department budget. Reviews staff job performance and provides continuous feedback/coaching and conduct employee evaluations. Performs duties, tasks and responsibilities reflecting substantial variety and complexity. Utilizes system databases, personal computers, and other applications to complete work assignments. Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Performs other related duties as assigned or necessitated by job responsibilities. Shall attend training for safety awareness or skills improvement as required by management, BWL or governmental agency. Participation in the continuous improvement of the Asset Management System and Work Management processes. Expected to comply with all BWL policies and work rules. Predictable and reliable attendance. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Job Specifications:Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electric Utility Operations or Engineering. Minimum of 1- 5 years of experience in Asset Management related processes. Proficient understanding of ISO 55000, Root Cause Analysis, and Quality Assurance. Must have good interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Must possess the technical knowledge and maturity to effectively engage and manage a cross-functional team. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Required to follow BWL Safety Manual and wear required personal protective equipment. Preferred: State of Michigan Professional Engineer License, Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience or completion of corporate Emerging Leaders training. Experience with corporate Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
