2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Our client is looking for a 2 nd Shift Production Supervisor to add to their team in the York, PA area. It is an exciting Direct Hire position! Our client has a temperature controlled environment, potential for growth, and company stability. The right candidate can earn up to 90K in this role! Responsibilities: Manages team and coordinates with production planning to optimize workforce efficiency and meet shift requirements. Ensures accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and adherence to company policies, taking disciplinary action when needed. Directs workforce to maintain safety, quality, and productivity, while improving the production environment. Coordinates manpower for planned absences and operational needs, ensuring workforce flexibility and training. Oversees preventative maintenance, safety protocols, and cleanliness in alignment with business priorities. Acts as lead contact for non-routine tasks and back shifts. Ensures maintenance work orders align with production plans and business goals, and conducts yearly performance evaluations. Responsible for training operational employees on job content, safety, regulations, and customer requirements. Promotes a safety-first culture to achieve zero lost-time accidents and ensures adherence to operational budget and ISO 9001 quality standards. Requirements: Preferred college education with at least 10 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, ideally in coating, finishing, or web processing technologies. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the chemical industry preferred. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities in equipment, quality, scheduling, safety, and personnel matters. Proficient in relevant manufacturing systems and standard desktop software applications.
