Shipper/Receiver - 1st Shift

Position Summary: This position will focus primarily on shipping and receiving responsibilities. Additional responsibilities for performing occasional, light production duties to ensure on-time production and shipment of product while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service. Job Responsibilities: * Loading and unloading trucks and moving finished goods/raw materials throughout facilities, including the use of fork trucks. * Assist in tracking material inventory and performing inventory counts. * Store and retrieve raw materials, finished goods, and supplies in the warehouse. * Clean up spills of non-hazardous items. * Prepare and inspect drums/bins, etc. for shipment. * Assist in maintaining a clean and safe facility through performance of general housekeeping duties. * Confirm paperwork is complete for all shipments and correct when needed. * Loading and unloading of overseas containers. Education/Experience: * High school diploma/GED * Previous shipping and receiving preferred * 1-2 years of related chemical manufacturing experience preferred Physical Demands * Ability to move drums up to 500 pounds with mechanical equipment in a safe manner as directed. * May be required to lift up to 50 pounds * May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily * Routinely required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. * May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear * May be required to work in small spaces and high locations What's in it for you? * Quarterly Plant Gainshare * Company Provided Uniforms * Competitive bi-weekly pay * Generous annual paid time off. * 401 (k) employer match. * Health care, dental and vision benefits. * Employees can receive up to a $1,000 bonus by referring a friend to join the company. * Safety is a top priority at Quaker Houghton.
