The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for First Shift to support our Royal Bay facility in Cicero, IL. The Production Supervisor is responsible for handling projects and executing job assignments provided by the Production Control Manager. Monitors and leads what is being produced and ensures that it meets the overall assigned objective. This role will require continuous communication with the Plant Manager, Production Control Manager, and Shipping Supervisor to ensure that any issues related to any projects are communicated in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: List essential job functions.Leads by example in the continuous teaching and training of production line leaders, ensuring the understanding of the overall objective of any given project. Reviews efficiency results daily of any given line and works with the Production Coordinator in adjusting improvements per line efficiencies overall.Supervises production leader suggesting any changes to meet and exceed quality and production estimates.Oversee the training and insights for a new item assembly process.Receives the handoff of the First Article and provide insight into any issues or opportunities found.Continual oversight and reinforcing all GMP's.Evaluate the personal performance of production line leaders and overall workforce.Responsible for timely reporting all productions issues to the respective departments. When needed to cover Second Shift, the Production Supervisor has additional responsibilities for supervising the warehouse operations during the shift.Assign the course for a given project.Assign time study analysis and projects scheduling.Check Items on the BOM ensuring that all information needed is collected for proper execution.Supervises daily toolbox talks by the production leaders. Responsible for reinforcing Company safety guidelines and GMPs on production lines.Other duties will be assigned per business demands.Maintain regular and predictable attendance.REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: List required education/experience.High school diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor or leader in the manufacturing industry. Experience in the packaging industry is preferable. PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in packaging and fulfillment is a plus but not required.Strong leadership abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to add, to subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use tape measures and to use a computer. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization. Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
