Job Summary: Assists with the process of providing safe and efficient transportation for all DASD public and non-public students. Qualifications: To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills and/or ability necessary. * High school diploma plus experience in a similar position * Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with good driving recor * Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices * Proficient organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines * Strong mathematical skills and verbal and written communication skills * Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database. This position utilizes the Google platform heavily, candidate should be well versed * Ability to make decisions independently, as well as to execute assignments of administrative detail as delegated * Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements * Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment Duties & Responsibilities: (Abbreviated - Please review the attached Job Description for more details on this specific opportunity) * Assists the department with communications coordinating and sharing information to and from constituents * Schedules and oversees transportation van(s), cars, & vehicles usage and maintenance * Process and record district Motor Vehicle Records * Assists with coordination of bussing/transportation for athletics and extracurricular events * Schedules district field trips * Assists with child accounting, transportation, and route data * Respond to, assign and process support tickets in DASD Service Desk system * First point of contact for parents, schools and community and provide support as needed * Practices positive public relations in dealing with students, school personnel, and parents * Scans all transportation records * May assist with the collection of information for state reports * Orders supplies for the department * Collects drivers credentials from contractors - processes FBI clearances * Processes seat charts for principal/school use DASD Benefits Information: Select Health Benefits a la carte - Only pay for what you need * Medical Coverage through IBX - PPO plans only * No Primary Care Physician necessary * No referrals required * IBC has extensive local and national networks * Prescription Coverage through CVS/Caremark * Dental Coverage - Delta Dental Active PPO * Allows use of in-network and out-of-network providers * Vision Coverage - Vision Benefits of America (VBA) Eligibility - No Waiting Period All employees may enroll in the district's health benefit plans effective with their date of hire into the benefit eligible position.
