Production Supervisor Position

Job Purpose:Monitor the production floor to ensure adherence of the SQDC hierarchy, provide sufficient support tosubordinate team members, and ensure that production and delivery targets are metDuties:Model Jupiter Bach's hierarchy of operation SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)Take responsibility of subordinate team members adherence to SQDC hierarchyMeet with the manager daily for schedule and updatesEnsure that the team is operating under current work instruction guidelinesCommunicate any HR issues to manager immediatelyProvide accurate hands-on-training to team members as neededPerform audits effectively, accurately, and within time allottedResponsible for team's adherence to company policies and must report violations to manager immediatelyInventory of production items as required by managerSupervisor must be able to perform managerial duties effectively and accurately in the absence of the managerSupervisor is responsible for prioritizing schedule as follows:In the absence of the managerSupervisor must be able to effectively and accurately perform all daily, weekly, and monthly managerial duties including but not limited to: setting production & delivery schedules, reporting, inventory, time system, HR matters, meetings, etc.Supervisor may be permitted to delegate some workload to other team members, but this must be approved by the manager before delegatingIf the manager is presentSupervisor's primary role is to monitor the production floor to ensure adherence of the SQDC hierarchy, and to provide sufficient support to subordinate team membersSupervisor must closely monitor adherence of the production schedule throughout the daySupervisor is responsible for identifying factors that may prevent the production schedule from being met and exhaust all efforts to resolve said factors in order to meet the production scheduleAny issues that cannot be resolved and will prevent the production schedule from being met must be communicated to the manager as soon as possibleSupervisor must be able to effectively communicate with other departmentsSupervisor is responsible for documentation that is pertinent to production and delivery schedulesSupervisor is responsible for recording and reporting pertinent information daily, weekly, and monthly as set by the managerSupervisor must be able prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changes set by the managerSupervisor must understand and ensure compliance to GE Specs.1st Shift (morning/daytime) offers Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm & 2nd Shift (evening/overnight) offers Monday -Thursday 2pm-12:30am with some overtime and mandatory Fridays during ramp up periods and/or as the production needs vary. Skills/Qualifications:Quality background preferredMust understand basic quality terminology (Quality Hold, NCR, SDR, CTQ, etc.)Must be able to read prints and use measuring devices effectivelyProficiency in Microsoft office and windows operating systems requiredKnowledge of the production process is requiredProven dependability, performance, and attendance is requiredSelf-motivated and good communication skillsAbility to read, understand, and convey work instructions to team membersMust be willing to be utilized in other departments and production roles as necessaryForklift certification is preferredAll major medical, dental, vision, and including option to participate in the 401(k) plan upon successful completion of the 90-day probational period.
