General Maintenance Technician

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with Maintenance Manager and Facility Manager to establish a program to eliminate downtime in trouble areas * Repair production equipment safely and as quickly as possible after a breakdown * Work on assigned projects * Fabricate and install new equipment * Maintain machinery according to Preventative Maintenance Program * Troubleshoot equipment * Utilize safe work habits * Wear appropriate PPE * Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures * Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures * Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures * Other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS * Ability to work overtime and shift work as required * Standing up to 12 hours daily * Walking up to 12 hours daily * Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily * Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily * Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly * Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS * High School diploma or equivalent * A minimum of 3 years experience in Electrical, Building Maintenance, Machine Maintenance, Plumbing, etc. * Experience with Measurement tools, hand tools, and power tools is required * Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required * Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
