Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10 PM, and as scheduled. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Personal Protective Equipment will be worn at all times while on duty (hard hat, hard toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves) * Before work begins on any shift, visually inspect equipment and work area to ensure both are in safe operating condition * Follow all company safety and health policies * Report any unsafe conditions to management for repairs. Any defects will be barricaded, and a notification will be posted. Equipment will be locked and tagged out as required * Report all accidents immediately * Keep all high traffic areas clean and clear of any trash, debris, tools, hoses, or other miscellaneous items (use proper procedures for oil and other lubricants leaks and spills) * Follow and maintain all applicable standards related to Environmental Compliance * Report any Environmental events to plant management * Help maintain the Pm program through analysis * Assign tasks * Maintain parts inventory * Assist mechanics in safely completing jobs on time EDUCATION: * High School Diploma * Or General Education Degree (GED) EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * High level of safety and quality * Ability to work in outside conditions during all season, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand-tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.) * Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge * Computer Software * Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) WonderWare or equivalent equipment process software, JD Edwards (JDE) U.S. Silica is an equal opportunity employer for all without regard to race, gender, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
