Position Summary: We're looking for a Transportation Analyst to provide daily operational oversight of Welch's refrigerated transportation network. This individual will work in conjunction with our third-party manufacturers and logistics providers supporting the development of business strategies to enhance performance for our customers. Where You'll Work This role will be based out of our Concord, MA headquarters where you will be immersed in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key. Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days. * Welch's is moving to a brand new, state of the art space in Waltham, MA June 2025* What You'll Do: * Oversee transportation operations support for the refrigerated network, including carrier selection, carrier performance management, freight payment and claims * Act as liaison between Welch's, carrier partners and the manufacturing/distribution sites to triage transportation and other active issues * Oversee freight payment for refrigerated transportation by partnering with the carriers and 3rd party TMS provider to audit and ensure accuracy. * Process and oversee freight claims related to transportation issues. Analyze root cause and drive improvements to reduce claims * Work cross functionally with customer service, sales, distribution, procurement, planning and others on daily operational tasks, as well as projects and improvement initiatives * Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure cost efficiencies, service quality, and freight optimization, including on-time and in-full shipping accuracy. Support strategic initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities within the refrigerated network and providing analytical expertise to drive data-driven decisions across the supply chain. * Monitor data flows to ensure synchronization of transportation information. Verify EDI interfaces are functioning properly, and carriers are providing required load status updates * Support the forecast and transportation budget process, while identifying and leading cost savings initiatives for year-over-year improvements * Create standard operating procedures (SOP) for efficient execution and process control. * Network with peer companies and professional organizations to stay current with industry trends (freight cost, service, etc.) Who You Are: * Understands overall Supply Chain and functional inter-dependencies related to order processing, warehousing, manufacturing, and transportation. * Maximizes the use of available resources including computer programs and reporting tools. * Effectively communicates across all levels, as well as internally and externally to the business. * Uses good judgment in interpreting policies and procedures to accommodate our requirements (e.g., recognizes the value of retaining existing carriers). * Proactively identifies problems or areas of concern that should be addressed to improve service and customer satisfaction levels. * Possesses strong project management skills. What You'll Need: * Bachelor's degree in business or other related focus preferred. * 3+ years of supply chain, warehousing, transportation, or logistics experience preferably within CPG industry * Proficient computer skills, budget development and tracking skills, with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power BI. Working knowledge of Uber Transportation Management Services, Oracle and Infor is a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong team building and organizational skills. * Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints. * Ability to operate in a team environment and adapt in a changing work environment. * Ability to travel up to 5-10% At Welch's we value diversity, a passion for what you do, and a commitment to continuous learning.
