Material/Production Supervisor

Job Title: Materials SupervisorLocation: Reading, PA areaSalary: 90k-110kResponsibilities:- Oversee the materials management process, including procurement, inventory control, and demand planning.-Lead, train, and supervise manufacturing team.-Help our Lead Operators plan their work and use resources efficiently.-- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain and ensure timely delivery of materials.- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and develop production schedules.- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.- Implement and maintain systems for tracking materials, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.- Train and supervise materials staff, providing guidance and support as needed.- Continuously evaluate and improve materials management processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.Skills:- Strong knowledge of materials management principles, including procurement, inventory control, and supply chain management.-Must be a US citizen or Green Card Holder-Must have High school diploma or GED- Previous supervisory experience preferred- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.- Proficient in demand planning techniques to forecast material requirements.- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.- Proficient in using materials management systems to track inventory levels and monitor performance.
