Yard Staff

Nelson-Young Lumber Company, a family-owned and operated business with third and fourth-generation family members actively involved in the business is seeking Yard Staff personnel, at our Edgerton, WI location.Job Duties:Load and unload building materials at job sites and at the yardPut away delivered building materialsHelp customers locate materials in the yard and help them load their vehiclesCut lumber stock for customer ordersAssist with facility maintenance, including snow removal, mowing, etc.Equipment Used:ForkliftsTable sawsPhysical Requirements:Sitting - maximum 1 hour at a time during deliveriesWalking/Standing - the majority of the day is spent moving about the yard completing various tasksLifting/Carrying (often done on uneven ground) - up to 25 pounds on a regular continuous basis; 25 - 50 pounds on a frequent basis; 50 - 100 pounds on an occasional basisWork in an outdoor environmentQualifications include:High school education or equivalentAbility to pass a drug testAbility to lift 50+ lbs.Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - FridayNelson-Young Lumber Co. has lumber yard locations in Edgerton, Evansville and Deerfield WI.
