Equipment Operator- Haul Truck Driver

ABOUT THE ROLE Holcim US, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Haul Truck Driver - Equipment Operator to support operations at the Fredericksburg, VA Quarry. This position will be responsible for installing and assembling new machines and equipment. Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. * Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments. * Performs routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment including handling welding repairs. * Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment and report findings to Area Manager * Hauls materials, supplies, and equipment between distant points with opertaing vehicle in safe manner. * Loads and unloads or supervises the loading and unloading of assigned equipment, limiting the load to a safe capacity * Maintain a truck log, operating a radio or other communication equipment, and prepare paperwork. * Check oil and water, performing safety evaluations, and following directions to haul and dump loads accordingly WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Education: High school diploma or equivalent * Required Work Experience: 1-2 years in a plant or industrial environment. * Required Work Experience: Prior experience operating haulage trucks or heavy equipment * Excellent oral communication skills with close attention to detail * Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance (Preferably Excavators & Front loaders) * Reliable transportation * Ability to work in inclement weather without restrictions * Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures * Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. * Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills * OSHA 10 (Preferably) * Ability to lift 50lbs Additional Requirements: * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
