Supervisor Production (2nd Shift)

Job Description Supervisory Capacity: Direct Reports: 20+ * Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work). * Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meetings. * Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standards are followed. * Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets. * Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel. * Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced. Additional Responsibilities * Ensure compliance of the UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programsand procedures that pertain to production team members. * Monitor quality of product throughout the production process. * Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives. * Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CIopportunities. Required Education Level High School Graduate or Equivalent Area of Study: General Studies *Equivalent work experience mayalso be considered for certain positions. Required Qualifications (Experience Level,Skills, Knowledge) * Minimum of 3 years of experience in production * Minimum of 1 year of experience within the automotive industry * Must be ableand willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. * Computer literacy * Excellent oral communication skills * Strong team building, decision-makingand people management skills Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level,Skills, Knowledge) * Just in Time (JIT) environment experience, preferred. * Proficient organizational skills. * Familiarity with industry standardequipment and technical expertise.
