A prestigious international law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal Manager to oversee the Paralegal Department in their Washington, D.C. office. This leadership role involves supervising a diverse team, managing departmental operations, and collaborating with attorneys and firm leadership to ensure seamless support and high performance. Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage a team of Paralegals, Document Clerks, Project Assistants, and temporary staff, ensuring adherence to firm policies and procedures. Recruit, train, and develop staff while managing performance evaluations, coaching, and goal-setting initiatives. Optimize staffing levels and coordinate work assignments to support attorneys and case teams effectively. Promote collaboration across practice areas to enhance utilization and productivity of paralegals. Develop and present training programs and implement new policies to improve team efficiency. Prepare and analyze statistical reports, budgets, and staffing plans to align with business needs. Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies and tools to support team productivity. Act as a resource for attorneys, clients, and staff by providing guidance on regulations, procedures, and matter-specific strategies. Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and quality service delivery. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Paralegal Certificate is a plus. At least 10 years of paralegal experience and 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably within a law firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with legal tools such as Lexis, Westlaw, PACER, and e-discovery platforms. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to shifting deadlines.
