We advocate for best pay, diversity in tech, and best job-fit for every candidate we place.Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Technology Infrastructure & Operations to join their team!Responsibilities:Manage and maintain the systems used to support the Stamford trading desk, including the trading, order management and portfolio accounting systemsManage and maintain Data Center technologies, including Cisco UCS, Dell VXRail servers, Dell EMC Powerstore and Unity SANsAdminister Windows servers, including operating systems and related technologiesDeploy, manage, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi hypervisorsDesign, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and securityConfigure and manage Cisco and Arista switches and routersSupport and configure Palo Alto Firewalls, including creating ACLs, policies, URL filtering, and other related tasksHarden and secure Windows and VMware servers, ensuring timely application of security patches and updatesMonitor systems and network performancePerform regular backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integritySupport LAN, WAN, and WiFi networks, including Meraki WiFi networksCollaborate with other IT professionals and departments to support business needsDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and network configurationsProvide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other staffQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, finance, or related field from a top college or universityRelevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, VCP, MCSE, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE) are a plusAt least 7 years of experience in IT Systems Administration and Network EngineeringExtensive experience with Data Center technologies: Cisco UCS, Dell VXRail servers, Dell EMC Powerstore and Unity SANs, and NetApp FilerStrong Windows server administration skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy Management, DNS, DHCP, File and Print services, and SCCMProficiency with VMware ESXi hypervisors, including vCenter Server management, VM provisioning, cloning, and snapshots, Resource allocation and performance monitoringExperience designing and building solutions for High Availability and Disaster Recovery configurationsIn-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, EIGRP, and BGPExperience with designing and implementing VLANs, STP, and VTPStrong experience with Cisco and Arista switches and routers, including Configuration and management, Routing and switching protocolsExperience in network monitoring and troubleshootingExperience supporting Palo Alto Firewalls, including creating ACLs, policy creation and management, URL filtering, and security profile configurationExperience with Meraki WiFi networksProven ability to manage and troubleshoot complex IT systems and networksExperience in hardening and securing Windows and VMware servers, including timely application of security patchesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood experience in writing scripts using PowerShell, Python, etc.
