POSITION OVERVIEWNorthCoast Asset Management, a Division of Kovitz is looking for an Associate Advisor to join our team in their Greenwich, CT office. The Associate Advisor serves as an integral part of our team. This great communicator, influencer and enthusiastic person will support the vision, positive culture, and team spirit. They will focus on team and client success, client service, trade and project managing assignments. The Associate Advisor requires good time management skills and must be flexible in a fast paced and changing environment. This position also requires attention to detail, ability to work quickly and efficiently with given technology and the ability to multi-task.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESBuild and maintain client relationships in partnership with the Senior Financial AdvisorsAttend meetings held by the Senior Financial Advisors with clients; conduct solo meetings with clients as appropriateWork with clients to ensure action items are thoroughly executed and documentedEmbrace investment strategy of the firm and provide investment education and recommendationsAssist Senior Financial Advisors with data collection and input into financial planning softwareHandle client-related requests and account service inquiries without advisor inputAssist clients with implementation of recommended and agreed-upon strategiesInitiate trading to satisfy client withdrawals and depositsWork together to transfer existing clients, freeing up the Senior Financial Advisors to continue to drive growth and direction of the firmPREFFERED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A bachelor’s degree and/or related work experience is preferredIdeally 2-3 years of experience in a financial services firm. Working knowledge of financial planning topics and strategies; basic understanding of industry rules and regulations is requiredExperience working with various Custodian Platforms (Pershing, Fidelity, Schwab, etc.)Experience with CRM, financial planning, and portfolio management software strongly preferredStrong leadership experience demonstratedStrong academic and professional backgroundExceptional communication and presentation skillsStrong attention to detail, poised, organized, and keen sense of urgencyAble to manage multiple tasks efficientlyStrong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office productsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand complex issuesTeam playerSeries 65 license (required for role; pursuit to begin shortly after start date if not already held and is expected to be passed within three months)ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATIONJob Type: Full-TimeNumber of Direct Reports: n/aLocation: Greenwich, CT
