The Pharmaceutical Folder Technician is responsible for the operation of folder machines, the inspection of finished products, and packaging of product prior to shipping. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and is based in our Garner, NC manufacturing site. Responsibilities:Set up folder machines with 100% accuracy for jobs consisting of RtAs and straight fold patterns, and large format RtAs including capsertsAdjust, clean, and repair glue systemsPerform advanced machine maintenance such as station 2 roller changes, knifebox repair, gear changes, belt replacements, etc.Demonstrate a 95% success rate in troubleshooting folder machine issuesPerform consistent preventative maintenance on folder machinesFold and tape chipboard traysMaintain consistent product inspectionPackage product according to customer requirementsEnter data into computer terminals to allow accurate inventory trackingComplete required paperwork including machine documentationLoad paper onto folder equipment and prepare basic start up functionsClear paper jams out of machine following proper safety protocolsPerform shrink-wrap functionsCapable of running production on multi-pack machineDemonstrate full versatility of flat pack jobs, hand counting, and pad jobsClean glue headsClear paper jams out of machine following proper safety protocolsKeep work area clean and maintainedAdhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).Successfully run and maintain production, on any folder machine, independently. Assist in the training and development of operators and new folder techniciansAssist operators in diagnosing problems and concerns with folding operationsQualifications:Must be able to read a precision ruler to 1/64”Experience operating and maintaining Vijuk foldersMust be able to communicate, orally and in writing, in the English languageMust be able to use hands and fingers in continuous and repetitive motionsMust be able to stand or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds, and to pull 1,800 pounds with the use of a manual pallet jackMust have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Bindery OperatorBasic knowledge of common power tools and hand toolsBasic knowledge of mechanical maintenanceMust have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Bindery TechnicianWhy work with us?
