As a Sporting Goods Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting with stocking and pricing merchandise, and ensuring a safe and well-organized department for our valued customers. General Summary * Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases * Proactively offer add-on sales and ensure customer satisfaction * Maintain a clean and orderly department by stocking and pricing merchandise Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Ensure positive representation of the store and assist customers promptly * Proactively help customers find the items they are looking for and offer solutions to problems * Maintain excellent product knowledge and provide training for services offered * Assist with online orders and ensure the department is well-recovered throughout the day * Contribute to store operations, merchandising, and inventory management * Follow safety procedures and assist with various store support operations * Participate in training associates within the department and assist with leadership tasks as requested Qualifications * High School diploma or GED equivalent required * Previous retail experience desired * Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and climb Join our team at The General Store and be part of a community-focused, locally owned business that values its employees.
