Category Manufacturing Description Job Summary: At Exploring Inc. we pride ourselves on continuous evolution. We're searching for a highly-skilled project manager to contribute to ID3 Group's growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative solutions provider. The ideal candidate will have production experience as well as strong work plan development and progress oversight skills. He/She will be expected to prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis, ensuring the innovation we seek is being achieved. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans. * Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements. * To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments * Provide key production dates to sales team and assist with building overall timelines. * Manage and approve CAD drawings, ensure accuracy of drawing format and design. * Manage the production process and items being fabricated through the shop lead and production manager * Use project management best practices to ensure that each assigned project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner * Participate in kick off meetings, create work orders and create materials requisitions * Track, produce and report change orders * Continually monitor and report job progress * Assess, identify and report risks to project success * Review and close projects upon completion Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Location Head Quarters Position Requirements ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Ability to read and understand shop drawings and break down complex builds into manageable sub-jobs. * Anticipate problems and pro-actively determine solutions. * Communicate clearly and professionally (verbal and written). * Work flexible hours often under extreme pressure and hard deadlines. * Manage several projects at one time and prioritize as needed; multi-task in a high-volume environment. * Work with diverse personalities in sales, design, engineering, production, distribution, administration and construction while managing costs, time requirements and customer expectations. Must be: * Self-disciplined with a solid work ethic * Bright, intuitive, and highly adept at conceptual thinking; pragmatic and able to put concepts into action ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE * Standard office software applications (e.g. Excel, WORD, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook). * Knowledge of industry fabrication methods; carpentry, metal work, paint production, tension fabric, graphic production and other techniques. * Comprehensive knowledge of planning systems and project management best practices.
