Davidson County Juvenile Court is seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Projects Manager to oversee the court's finance, human resources, and IT services departments. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual with strong management skills, a deep understanding of accounting and HR principles, and expertise in IT systems that support court operations. This is a full-time, in-person position, reporting daily to our Nashville, TN Juvenile Court building. This position is based on-site in downtown Nashville, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional after-hours work may be required based on operational needs. Davidson County Juvenile Court's mission is to prevent problems, promote the positive potential in all people, and pursue fairness and hope. * Manage the court's budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing processes to ensure compliance/integrity with all finance regulations. * Develop key strategic financial strategies that optimize resource allocation and support the court's operations. * Proactively monitor, evaluate, implement, and document accounting policies and procedures to identify change that would increase internal controls, efficiency, and the accuracy of financial records. * Oversee HR related functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee benefits programs. * Manage the court's IT systems, ensuring that they support court operations efficiently and securely. * Oversee the integration and maintenance of software platforms, including case management and financial management systems. * Lead the development and implementation of IT policies and protocols that protect sensitive court data and enhance workflow processes. * Collaborate with the Juvenile Court Clerk's Office to ensure cohesion between record keeping between the two departments. * Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Finance, HR, and IT teams. * Ensure collaboration with the Court Administrator and other key stakeholders to align departmental goals with the court's overall mission. * Manage departmental budgets, projects, and staff to ensure efficient operations. * Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve court services and effective communication/training with staff. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and five (5) years of verifiable project management experience, with a focus on Accounting, Human Resources, and/or Information Technology. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government. * Master's Degree * Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) and/or Accounting (e.g., CPA, CGFM) * Extensive experience with Oracle R-12 E-Business Suite, including submitting Journal Entries for general ledger account reconciliation and running and utilizing SplashBL report data * State of Tennessee Certified County Finance Officer (CCFO) We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
