Position Title ID Office Customer Care Specialist FLSA Classification NE Reports to Senior Tech Specialist and Card System Supervisor Salary Range G1 Weeks Per Year 52 Work Week 40 hours (minimum) Position Summary Assumes responsibility for the administration of the University of Hartford's identification (ID) card program providing a "one card system" for all employees and students, overseeing the administration of the meal plans, building access, billing and financial reporting. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students. Hiring Range Starting salary is budgeted between $20 to $25 per hour, depending upon experience Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities * Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with various internal constituencies. Reviews financial data and billing discrepancies forwarding information to appropriate parties for follow up and resolution as appropriate. Creates, analyzes and provides reports of cyclical and adhoc data for internal and external constituencies, as necessary and appropriate. * Administers and supports all functions and processes related to the Micros Point of Service (POS) systems across the campus. Maintains accurate data on internal systems in compliance with established data integrity standards. Actively participates in evaluating business and technological processes in an effort to continuously improve operational effectiveness. * Produces University ID cards for students, faculty, staff or other third party vendors. Formats new card designs in collaboration with the Office of Marketing and Communication in an effort to adhere to appropriate design specifications and institutional branding guidelines. Reviews and updates the ID system related to individual requests such as conferences, the University High School and Elementary School, the Farmington Valley Transitional Academy and Waave programs. Serves as the primary point of contact regarding dining plan inquiries and all requests in reference to the one-card system. * Maintains confidential information consistent with regulatory guidelines regarding student FERPA. Performs faculty and staff access and termination system processing. Exports data photo files for University social media accounts. * Provides oversight and reviews supports needed and provided from external vendors including, but not limited to, Tapingo, JSA, UGRYD, CBORD, Higgins and Ellucian. Collaborates with vendors to import and export required data, as necessary and appropriate. Reviews and exports reports for review for the ID Office, the Office of the Treasurer and external vendors as necessary and appropriate. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
