We are looking for a Project Manager - Product, Sustainability, & Impact to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual in the early stages of their career who is passionate about sustainability and eager to contribute to meaningful change across multiple areas of product development and impact. The Project Manager - Product, Sustainability, & Impact, will assist with product development by aligning team activities, managing timelines, and implementing initiatives related to material health, transparency, and sustainability certifications. In addition contributing data and support for the company's B-Corp Certification tracking and triannual recertification. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally to keep projects on track, engage with suppliers, and ensure compliance with industry standards and sustainability certifications. Key Responsibilities: Product Project Management (50%): * Organize, track, and report on the status of product development using Asana. * Guide products through development, ensuring all stakeholders meet deadlines and deliverables. * Lead bi-weekly New Product Development team meetings to ensure alignment and progress. * Continuously improve and update Asana project templates to reflect evolving product development needs. Sustainability Project Management (35%): * Work closely with suppliers to gather data on material health and promote transparency across the supply chain. * Assess the chemical composition of materials to ensure they meet health and environmental standards. * Maintain detailed records of material assessments and supplier information using tools such as 3E. * Manage and update sustainability certifications, ensuring product and supplier changes are accurately tracked. * Collaborate with sustainability partners to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and certifications. * Respond to client inquiries about product sustainability attributes and update internal sustainability documentation. * Identify opportunities to enhance material health and transparency practices within the company. General Impact Work (15%): * Support company leadership in B Corp recertification, focusing on sustainability, social health & equity, and governance. * Periodically train staff on sustainability best practices to support the company's environmental goals. * Review and assess company sustainability metrics and contribute to setting ongoing goals and initiatives. * Provide day-to-day organization and technical assistance for sustainability-related projects. Required Qualifications & Experience : * Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. * Experience: Successful project management track record. Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability roles within the manufacturing industry, focusing on material health and transparency. * Familiarity with industry sustainability frameworks such as LEED or WELL. * Experience conducting or reviewing sustainability audits of suppliers. * Knowledge of current environmental regulations and standards. Desirable skills: * Project Management Tools: High comfort level with Asana (project management software tool) or similar; High comfort level with Slack (company communication tool) or similar; High comfort level with Google Drive (file management and documentation) or similar. * Technical Skills: Strong understanding of and experience with supply chain, compositional chemistry, and various green product standards within the building industry. * Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and assess environmental impacts. * Communication Skills: Engaging and communicating effectively with stakeholders, ensuring alignment, and managing expectations. Maintaining clear, concise, and effective communication with team members and other project participants. Addressing conflicts within the team or with stakeholders and working toward resolution. Preparing and delivering project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders. * Attention to Detail: Meticulous in evaluating materials and maintaining accurate documentation. * Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and developing effective solutions. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and performing repetitive tasks.
