The person will welcome, register, and assist all persons seeking assistance from our Social Services Department. The Social Services Coordinator must maintain accurate files and perform all necessary data entry. The Resident Coordinator also works with residents in Stuart House, our Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Program for single women and families as our newly added Stuart House Apartment Program, which houses three families in apartments from intake to exit. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma and/or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Education preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in residential or social service field. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required. Applicant must have the ability to work with individuals and families from various backgrounds and be nonjudgmental and must possess a strong desire to help others. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
