The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation, coordination, and management of Office of Global Inclusion (OGI) initiatives and university-wide initiatives focused on global inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and access (GIDBEA). The Project Manager will be charged with supporting high-importance, large-scale complex projects and programs that meet urgent and ongoing NYU needs and align with University and divisional strategic priorities, such as major programs and events, task forces and working groups, educational opportunity rollouts, strategic planning, policy/process development, and progress monitoring. The incumbent will also conduct related research and analysis on key topics and areas of strategic interest and also manage projects and deliverable schedules. The incumbent will assist with building project and program plans, aid in program and strategy implementation, including budgets, communications, and human resource plans, as well as produce reports, agendas, dashboards, and minutes for project team meetings. The Project Manager will also manage and implement program and communication plans for major OGI-wide efforts. The incumbent will develop written content for email, website, social media, program promotion, as well as prepare correspondence and other communication materials. This individual's portfolio will include large-scale projects that extend across OGI's centers-the Center for Global Spiritual Life, Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP), LGBTQ+ Center, and Moses Center-and functional areas (e.g., communications, education), including annual initiatives and priority projects such as NYU Portraits, MLK Week, Student Life Pre-Commencement Celebrations, student convenings, focus groups, inclusive policy development, GIDBEA-related fundraising, GIDBEA-related task forces/working groups, etc. This position involves collaborating with various partners across campus, including faculty, staff, students, alums, and external partners, to advance university-wide efforts that foster an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment for diverse global communities. To that end, the incumbent will monitor, analyze, and communicate results regarding impact metrics on a regular and ongoing basis and will engage in necessary administrative coordination for the Associate Vice President for Global Inclusion and Deputy Chief Diversity Officer, including calendaring, staffing events and programs, and budget processing and tracking. Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, Organizational Development, Sociology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Required Experience:5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a foundational and applied knowledge of global inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and access from an intersectional lens. Must include experience with project management, conducting research, administering academic or organizational programs, and managing budgets. Requires strong organizational skills and experience collaborating across partners. Experience developing communications plans to engage constituents effectively.Preferred Experience:1+ years experience working in a higher education environmentRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage up and across. Strong interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective relationships in support of organizational goals. Foundational and applied knowledge of global inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and access from an intersectional lens. Ability to work and communicate with diverse internal and external partners in individual and group settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications, and with various social media platforms. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and assessment databases. Ability to generate compelling content that engages and motivates diverse audiences via events, programs, website, newsletter, social media, etc. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
