Senior Tax AccountantAbout the Organization & Opportunity - Senior Tax AccountantOur client is a well established professional services firm with locations across the tri-state area as well as the eastern seaboardThey are a growing, family-owned company that cares about its employeesRegular work hours provide for great work/life balance; this role will be sitting out of their office in Midtown, ManhattanPosition offers opportunity for advancement and promotionCompetitive salary with an annual discretionary bonus, strong benefits including three health care plan optionsRole Responsibilities - Senior Tax AccountantPrepare and review workpapers for both internal and external tax return preparationFilings for individuals, partnerships, trusts, s-corporations & private foundationsParticipate in short and long-term income & estate tax planning, tax credit utilization & other ad-hoc projectsReview tax returns prepared by internal and external accounting firmsWork with the internal accounting staff: review depreciation, amortization, tax capital & other tax focused schedules in preparation of year-end financial reportingAssist with annual compliance and responses to audit and inquiry notices from various taxing jurisdictions Preferred Qualifications - Senior Tax AccountantBA Degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field5+ years of progressive experience in taxation accountingexperience working with high-net worth individual and/or real estate industry concentration is a plusProficient in Excel, accounting, and tax preparation softwareCPA is a plus
