The team is very collegial staff have been with the company for many years. Position will offer opportunity for growth into Accounting ManagerThe Firm is located in Midtown, NYC and for the foreseeable future will be working on a hybrid model. This company cares about their employees and their commitments outside of workThey offer a competitive base salary, potential for bonus and strong benefits package that includes a very low cost on the medical expenses, generous PTO and a Pension Plan!This firm has an over 90% approval of the CEOResponsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:Supervise Accounts Receivable/BillingMonthly upload and analysis of the payroll information including analysis of all payroll related balance sheet accounts and fringe allocationsConduct standard month end closing proceduresPreparation and distribution of daily cash reportTimely completion of bank reconciliations for all bank accountsAssist Controller with annual audits and maintenance of ERP system (Currently using Sage/Intacct)Work with Development and Training department to properly record monthly donations and training revenuesAssist with special projects as needed.Experience preferred: 4+ years of relevant accounting experience with a nonprofitBachelors Degree in AccountingExposure to various grants and funding such as OPWDD is a plusStrong Excel skill; experience using accounting systems such as Intacct, MIP, Financial Edge is a plusShould be able to present, interpret and effectively communicate financial data#CBJUL2023#INJUL2023
