Values: Dependability, Collaboration, Compassion, Unity Position Summary: Intern provides first-level hardware and software support for Adams County Sheriff's computer infrastructure. Responds to technical support inquiries via a ticketing system, in-person, via telephone, or email. Note: This is a part-time, temporary internship position (20 hours per week). * Filter Help Desk calls and provide basic support and troubleshooting of a variety of issues (e.g., password resets, printer configurations, break/fix instructions, ticket routing, ticket escalation). * Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention. * Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, software, peripheral, and clinical application issues. * Gather and analyze information regarding technical issues to determine the be resolution for end user. * Troubleshoot and resolve mobile computing and communications device issues, e.g. * Follow up and communicate ticket information to users when appropriate. * Work with project team leads who will assign tasks and provide direction. * Record information into ticket tracking software. * May resolve more advanced issues where solutions have already been documented. * Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required * smartphones and tablets. * Working knowledge of computer software, hardware and related equipment. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite of products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). * General knowledge of enterprise network applications (such as case management and document management systems) preferred.
