As part of our team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our critical infrastructure, including building/facilities, material handling equipment (MHE), and ammonia refrigeration systems. Your expertise will help ensure that our operations continue to run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, supporting our mission to keep goods moving across the globe, from warehouse to doorstep. Key Duties and Responsibilities * Conduct physical inspections, calibration, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems essential to facility operations, including the physical structure and exterior grounds. * Perform preventative maintenance on automated systems, including proximity switches, photoelectric sensors, pressure switches, push buttons, and associated testing equipment. * Inspect and complete basic repairs on refrigeration systems to ensure efficient operation. * Execute preventative maintenance for material handling equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines to promote continuous and safe functionality. * Maintain detailed records of inspections, evaluations, and maintenance activities, and provide daily updates to leadership regarding equipment status and operational conditions. * Carry out additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned by management. Additional Duties and Responsibilities * Operate power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment to cut or join metal components as needed. * Utilize motorized lifts and rental equipment to facilitate equipment inspection, calibration, and maintenance activities. Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) * A minimum of 1 year of experience or equivalent training in maintenance fields such as building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, or refrigeration systems (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2). * Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks with provided instructions and minimal supervision. * Proficiency in the use of power tools and hand tools. * Basic computer skills for reporting and communication. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. * Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. * Proven ability to multitask and manage workload with strong organizational skills. * Capacity to work in varying environmental conditions, including cold storage facilities with temperatures as low as -20°F (-25°C) and dry storage facilities with temperatures up to 100°F (37°C), while wearing company-provided protective gear. * Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (weight requirements may vary by location). * Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. * Comfort working at height (as required at some locations). * Willingness to adapt to varying noise levels in the facility.
