This person will report to the Manager of the New Business Brokerage. The Associate would provide processing, technical, and rating support to this team. This person will assist with new business opportunities by supporting the firm's cross selling and account rounding efforts. Core ResponsibilitiesIn conjunction with the New Business team, prepare new business insurance submissions, including:Creating new clients in Agency Management SystemGathering and requesting carrier loss runsPrepare Acord applications for coveragePrepare Loss SummariesCreate driver, vehicle, and property schedules in ExcelAssist in preparation of other support materials used to negotiate winning terms with insurance carriersAssist in creating insurance proposalsPerform system binding needs within ECBM standards, including:Prepare binders Prepare Auto ID Cards, filings, invoices, and other documentationNotify other departments of client's service needs or important policy conditions including accounting, claims, etc.Assist in completing the Binding ChecklistEnter Billing Information in Agency Management System and confirm paymentProvide rating support to marketing including state fund and assigned risk for Workers Compensation and AutomobileAssist with business placement in the "select" business segment (Under $5,000)Develop and maintain relationships with other department personnelSpecial projects as assigned by the managerManage and track internal filing system of all unit documentationAssist in Marketing Strategy for New Business clientsMeet and network with agency carrier partners to develop underwriting relationshipsEducation & ExperienceCollege degree preferred, but high school diploma or equivalency requiredProperty Casualty Agent's License preferred, must pass Property Casualty Agent's License Exam within three (3) months of hireMust have good communication skills, both verbal and written.Must have strong Excel skillsGood listening skills are required as well as desire to solve problems.Should possess an understanding of negotiation process.
