This position leads and performs a variety of routine mechanical and building maintenance functions that encompass all trades and disciplines. In addition, you will need to perform preventative maintenance and equipment repair as needed.Includes the following and other duties as assigned:1. Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions or needed repair; making notes and recommendations using a pre-established check sheet as part of our preventative maintenance program.2. Responsible for diagnosis and repairs to plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and electrical.3. Perform painting and drywall repair of walls and ceilings.4. Assists with the set-up for meetings and events.5. Records type and costs of maintenance or repair work.6. Responsible for maintaining internal and external campus property as assigned.7. Responsible for snow removal, sanding of assigned areas and other seasonal tasks as directed. Must be willing to drive a Truck with a snow plow & operate snow removal equipment.8. Pick up supplies and maintains inventory accordingly.9. Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repair, as needed.10. Keep the Administrator and/or other departments aware of potential problems with the environment or residents that need attention.11. Perform minor building technician tasks (e.g., trash collection and disposal, etc.).12. Report / respond to safety and security issues promptly.13. Respond to fire alarms and assist with fire drills and safety training.14. Is available for 24hour on call rotation and some holiday rotation.15. Basic knowledge of buildings construction and operation16. Installation of bathroom and kitchen fixtures17. Appliance diagnosis and repairEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic computer skillsCondition of Employment:Candidate must successfully complete Pre-Employment Medical Clearance consisting of a Physical, PPD, Drug Test.
