POSITION SUMMARY: Researches and analyzes the international royalty payments, data collection, and communication relating to performances of BMI's repertoire internationally. Collaborates with multiple departments to gather royalty payments and performance data. Works with foreign collective licensing organizations to investigate, resolve, and answer questions relating to performances of BMI's repertoire internationally.LOCATION: New York, NY office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Collaborates with the International Analytics and Development team on new business use cases relating to international royalty payments, communications, and identification of trends. Conducts research to gather information from a variety of sources, including BMI internal databases, the Internet and 3rd party data providers. Assists customer service and other departments to support communications relating to international royalty payments. Monitors and maintains communications, status, and documentation to support the International Analytics team. Investigates and responds to inquiries from foreign partners relating to performances of BMI's repertoire internationally. Assists in training others as needed. Other duties as assigned. Regular attendance. Supports our BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity and inclusion.POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor's Degree preferredExperience: Minimum 3 years administrative, research, international, and/or royalty experience.Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; Access and PowerPoint a plus. General computer proficiency. Highest level of confidentiality. Experience working with database systems and reports. Strong communication skills: written, verbal and comprehension. Detail oriented. Good Organization skills. Ability to learn and adapt quickly. Ability to interact professionally with a diverse employee population, and with all levels of staff and management. Ability to conduct research using a variety of sources including internal databases, the Internet and third-party resources. Ability to work independently and with good judgment. Must have strong analytical and good mathematical skills. Foreign languages are preferred.Salary Range:$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 (USD).The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience and education.
