Maintenance Technician II

JOB SUMMARYPerforms maintenance work that facilitates the production of quality fittings and hose assemblies. Requires an associate's degree with 5-7 years of experience in the field and/or equivalent experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms assigned preventative maintenance schedulesMaximizes production and maintains quality by correctly repairing, maintaining, replacing, installing, and troubleshooting all mechanical and electrical systems.Creates weekly action plan for achievement of improvement action items or assigned projects. (including gathering information, materials, scheduling machine downtime)Performs uptime improvement action items for assigned production equipment Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic valves, pumps and cylindersTroubleshoot and repair pneumatic valves and cylindersMust have prior PLC Troubleshooting experience and able to make adjustments to the program in conjunction with engineering requestsOTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains & monitors PM completion ratioAbility to work overtime to support production needsWork with production supervisors and operators to increase understanding of equipment operation to prevent equipment downtime. Performs other duties as assignedSKILLS & ABILITIESKnowledgeable with 480v 3-phase and 110v., etc.Follows safety policies to ensure hazards are eliminatedDemonstrate the ability to understand technical problems of a complex natureAbility to complete OSHA 10-Hour TrainingThe ability to obtain a Master Electrician LicenseProficient computer skills in all applicationsEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA 2 year technical degree and/or equivalent experience A minimum of 5-7 years of related experienceMechatronics is desiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ESSNTIAL TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOBOccasionally in sitting position to perform duties at desk and on computerOccasionally must lift up to 40 lbsFrequently communicates with employees, customers and suppliers to understand their requestsFrequently walks, kneels and stands on concrete floorMust wear safety shoes with either composite, alloy or steel toe and have EH rating
